Throwback Thursday post to that time we drove to Fall Creek Falls State Park to see the Great American Eclipse of 2017.
The total solar eclipse definitely lived up to the hype! It was truly sublime. The temperature dropped; the cicadas sang; the sky darkened; and then there was the white ring of light in the pink-tinged atmosphere with Venus shining and sunset colors at the horizon. The experience was amazing!
We're already looking forward to the next North American total solar eclipse that will occur on April 8, 2024. We hope to be a family of four by then, and both kids can experience the awe and wonder of 4 minutes of night in the middle of the day. #tbt
